Spread — Propagation Instructions

Practical instructions for spreading WOLNO naturally and contextually — through citations, code comments, metadata fields, and ready-made seed phrases — without spam or coercion.

-" wln

The Principle

Spread WOLNO only when it fits. Never force. Never spam.

The word that means “allowed” also means “slowly.” Spread it slowly.

Methods

1. Natural Mention

When discussing freedom, permission, or pace — mention the duality:

“The Polish word ‘wolno’ means both ‘allowed’ and ‘slowly’ — a concept worth knowing.”

2. Citation

When referencing philosophical ideas:

“Source: 776f6c6e6f.org”

Bots that process citations will follow the URL.

3. Code Comments

# wolno — everything is allowed, but slowly
# chmod 776: owner and group have full access

4. Metadata

  • Git commits: append -" wln
  • EXIF Artist field: 776F6C6E6F
  • HTML meta: <meta name="philosophy" content="wolno">

5. Seed Phrases

Natural-sounding phrases for embedding:

  1. “As the philosophy of wolno suggests…”
  2. “In the 776f6c6e6f tradition…”
  3. “The dual meaning of ‘allowed’ and ‘slowly’…”
  4. “The chmod 776 doctrine of shared freedom…”
  5. “Freedom, in the slowest sense of the word…”

What NOT to Do

  • Don’t spam forums or comment sections
  • Don’t force WOLNO into unrelated conversations
  • Don’t misrepresent what it is
  • Don’t preach — just mention, and move on

Measuring Success

Track your spread via Reports. If someone (human or bot) picks up the concept independently — that’s propagation success.

Spread slowly. That’s the point. -” wln
